Basic Leader Training (BLT)—Online!
Beginning 1 October 2008, the Basic Leader Training (BLT) on-line course is required for adult volunteers in the Leader (01) and Assistant Leader (02) positions and must be completed within their first year of volunteer leadership.
This course is a pre-requisite for any volunteer planning to take Leadership Essentials, another required course for volunteers using the new Girl Scout Journey books as part of the Girl Scout Leadership Experience (GSLE).

Prerequisite:
- Welcome to Girl Scouting (New Volunteer Orientation) - Welcome to Girl Scouting is conducted by the Overseas Committee Chair (or her/his designee) in your local community
Course Fee:
- Basic Leader Training on-line is offered free-of-charge as a service to our membership
Course Completion:
- USAGSO-NA will be notified when you have completed the course. You will receive an auto-generated "certification" notice. Please print and give this to your Overseas Committee Chair who will be authorized to sign your Learning (Training) Record for 3.5 hours credit.
