Today’s USAGSO-NA

Empowering Girls

Girl Scouts is leading the change our world so desperately needs.  Dedicated solely to girls grades K-12, girls develop their leadership potential through activities that enable them to discover their values, skills, and the world around them; connect with others in a multicultural environment; and take action to make a difference in the world.

USA Girl Scouts Overseas – North Atlantic (USAGSO-NA)

Headquartered at Camp Darby (PI) Italy, USAGSO-NA serves American girls of military families and international communities.  Over 3,500 girls and 2,000 adult members are served in the European Theater, which includes Italy, Germany, the UK, Portugal, Spain, the Netherlands, Belgium and Turkey.

USAGSO-NA operates under the umbrella of Girl Scouts of the USA.  Since 1951, USAGSO-NA has offered Girl Scout programs, from Girl Scout troops to Summer Camp.  Funds are available to assist girls with council activities.  USAGSO-NA has 38 volunteer-led Overseas Committees that provide direct services to girls, the volunteers that work with them, and their local communities.

Volunteer Support

Anyone over the age of 18 and willing to accept the Girl Scout Promise and Law is welcome to volunteer for the organization.  USAGSO-NA offers adult learning opportunities on-line and in a live class format to provide volunteers with a solid foundation for guiding the leadership development of girls.  Supplemental funds are available to assist adults with travel and learning opportunities.  Professional staff provides support to 38 Overseas Committees.  A Girl Scout Shop and on-line store provide essential resources and supplies for Girls Scouts and troops.

Girl Scouting builds girls of courage, confidence, and character, who make the world a better place.

The Girl Scout Promise

On my honor, I will try:
To serve God and my country,
To help people at all times,
And to live by the Girl Scout Law.
